.. but not much climbing either.

Stage 1 is constrained by waters tendency towards flatness. Stage 2 is Liege without the Ardennes. Stage 3 will maybe see a few GC seconds shifted about in the final rise. Stage 4 is the 2nd of 9 opportunities for Cavendish to fulfill ASO's plans for a new all time stage winner record.

Stage 1

Stage 2

Stage 3

Finish

Stage 4

Doesn't look like the most technical ITT circuit ever.
The reason I say this is because the weather forecast is for rain, Saturday afternoon.

For the nap takers amongst us Wink

The coloured grid is interactive when you hover the mouse over it.

Trentin the current leader, 6 seconds ahead of Arndt.
A couple of riders have tasted early tarmac.

Several seem to have started off pretty quick, only to slow down later - must be tougher than they thought in that weather.

matt rendall was talking about how riders had fared with the wind, some were saying headwind at the start and tailwind at the end, others were saying the reverse

sky took out a wind thing this morning when froome warming up and had no idea what the wind was doing. they're sounding like me on a sunday, "i had a headwind" in all directions" Wink

that gallopin crash looked bad. did he hit his head against the railing?

bardet comes at 40ish secnds down from kiriyenka but thomas puts in time 7 seconds faster than kiriyenka. i think they had moved bardet to try to save his blushes in the tt from being passed by froome but thomas nearly does it as well

Zero coverage of Geraint Thomas until he crosses the line and beats Kiri's time by 7 seconds.

is that the same corner as gallopin?

thomas was down 3 at the first check point and went 10 seconds faster in the second half than kiriyenka.

Valverde is in the ambulance apparently.
For someone supposedly riding for someone else, that was crazy speed into that corner.
Quintana is screwed on day one.

Even for leaders, look at Porte's time, a cautious ride.

For valverde, that was a crazy rise..

Electronics aren't great, clock in the finale on TV is stopping.

With kung finishing at 5 seconds, looks like Thomas in yellow.

Froome needs to do last 3km at 60km/h to win the stage so victory for thomas
