Here we go ...
| Quote: | Lance Armstrong is considering an early stop in the Giro d'Italia, May 9 to 31, due to a possible early arrival of his fourth child. The due date of his new baby is the first week of June.
"I need to start thinking about that," he said to Cyclingnews when asked if he would stop the Giro early if his partner Anna Hansen delivered early.

Since this post we have heard LA crashes hard in France!!

| You gotta admit that the guy is a genius when it comes to these kind of things. He certainly knows how to play people around. |

TT? Why the sudden change of heart?
Surely, we all thought this might be the case and the Tour being the one and only goal?
TDL: Agree absolutely. What amazes me, though, is how so many people continue to fall for it. |

Yep, there was a crash on a rough patch of road and Amstrong was the casualty. He wasn't moving his right arm when he climbed into the ambulance.
There was video at this link but now it's stopped:

Indeed is it serious? From short Giro to no Giro by the looks of things, although I don't think he ever had any intention of riding it anyway. _________________ Do something pretty while you can.

If it's his collarbone he'll be back soon and will definitely need the Giro as prep for the Tour. |

Depends how bad his break is, if it's as bad as Millar's, then it'll be touch and go, and as I say it's a perfect excuse, "the shoulders not quite right, I don't want to risk the Tour..." _________________ Do something pretty while you can.

Yup, the bones take longer to heal at his age and with the onset of osteoporosis it'll be touch and go all right...mind you, I can see the list of TUE's growing by the second. Bet cyclingnews have a Newsflash up already _________________ It's just my opinion, if you don't like it....TOUGH

| Whilst I agree with the 'perfect excuse' line and Igmeisters suggestion that he probably wouldn't have ridden the Giro etc ... it will be a shame if this is how he gets out of it rather than taking a beating on the slopes of France! |

I agree with that, I really wanted him to ride because I think he'll look like a very tired old man. _________________ Do something pretty while you can.

| I'm surprised he hasn't Twittered about it yet. Maybe he'll take some risks getting back into form and test positive. |

This is up on the beeb already, must be a record for a non-doping related cycling story....
