What are your suggetions to improve the Tipster league for 2009- The most popular suggestion I have to far is to award 3pts for 1st, 2 pts for second adn 1 pt for third. I would also like opinions on which races we should cover and to devise a system that makes it easy for me to pick out people's selections.
All and any input appreciated.

I would be happy with the 3,2 &1 points idea.
Not seen next years calendar, but the 3 GT'S, classics and semis & worlds would be fine by me......... |

When does the season officially start? Het Volk?
I think it worked fine last season with FP threads for races/stages. I'd be happy for a bit of slimming down of some of the cats just to stage winners + main jerseys.
LR and MM winners FP's shouldn't be included. |

i kind of like the 1,2,3 3,2,1 thing it reminds me of something cape suggestested back when it was mjm's shiny idea...
...although i'm somewhat fond of the random inclusion of races that nobody particularly cares about, too... _________________ ...on the one hand, we were serious political revolutionaries who wanted to overthrow the government. on the other hand, we were on acid... |

I would prefer a relatively limited calendar of events for the League.
I like the 3,2,1 idea but only if it means we are just picking one rider per race ( or stage), and not picking 3 riders. |

No, you would only pick one rider, otherwise it would get too complicated. _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

He'll be fine once he finds his balls. I have a feeling they were lost during his 'major life change' he was telling us about. I think SM has taken a walk on the wild side... |

I have just added a poll. Please vote for scoring system and for lenght of racing programme. EPO available by mail order for those requiring the full programme, but anyone with suspicious values will be targetted for testing. _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

| For me I say keep it simple. But if Kathy or someone else is prepared to put in the huge effort required for a more complex system then thats fine by me. Just very grateful for all the hard work during 2008!!! |

my doctor had me on eye drops earlier this year (i've not been the greatest of health in 2008. hoping for a better 2009) and a side effect of these was actually lowering my red blood cells _________________ Hi |

| Seems to me that the most successful last year (incl me) were the ones that fought every single race. Keeping it simple will make it more competitive IMO. |

I like the choose one rider for the win but get 2 points for 2nd and 1 point for 3rd place.
I'm not too pushed about what races are included. A seperate thread for FPs only was good. For GTs over all jerseys, and stages. _________________ It could be worse!!! |

ok i will compromise on the calendar
as opposed to what's listed on the cyclingnews.com calendar section, we'll just do the races in the procycling callendar that came with the most recent issue (with david z on the front)
fair? _________________ Hi |
