Forgive me for being old fashioned and into 'our team', but I am dead pleased Bartali is doing so well. I think it is harder to win one of these fantasy leagues than to win the Giro. Did I just write that? Can't be.
In any case, even if the Giro has a few days to run, nice one Bartali. I rather like your style and excellent contribution to this forum. And picking a good team too. Plus riding that pretty bike of yours up hills. Congrats.
I notice that the second team, presumably GS Legano, has dropped a bit, nearly as low as the underfunded, but spiritually excellent team from Occitan. Except Pozzovivo, who has betrayed my trust. And Di Luca, who I never did trust. Big mistakes. Like i make every year.
I do like the games where you pick a team and then sit back and watch them. Picking a winner for each stage is quite a strain.
Further, I find our experimental, not 'real' teams, a bit of good fun. We do know how to play. |

I've been enjoying it myself. It's like watching my retirement account: took a long time to build up, then came crashing down, now slowly going back up.. _________________ I do not need mountains to win the TDF, I need drugs! |

Well done Bart. It's tough at the top - you need 100+ points to move up 5 places, whilst me just missing out on the JC podium (Va Bene) just needed 5 points to move up 5 places.
Took Ferrari out of my team for Vigano on the train to Turin on the opening day trying get a different angle. My friend though on the same train took out Gadret. That annoyed him.
Bloody always on smartphone internet too much time for double guessing |

Tough race, but we all did pretty well. sorry you missed the podium Bart.
I made my usual bad choice. But did well enough. Had I picked Rujano and not Pozzovivo, I would have been tenth overall. It was a toss up for me, I really just guessed. Wrongly.
Won't never ever make such a blunder in the Tour. Although this Giro, none of my riders dropped out. I do like this particular competition though.
Although I did much better on Cobblestone. Go figure. |

Pozzovivo didn't finish the race, FF. I didn't even get to play my joker on him _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

Pozzovivo did for a lot of us, I'm afraid. Once considered an outside bet for the top 5, this is his second consecutive disaster at the race.
Other notable failures, Farrar and Sella.
All things considered, I'm pleased to have made the top 100 (last! ) |

Didn't even notice he dropped out, just kept seeing a big fat zero next to his name.
Mind you, I also kept waiting for DDL to make a move, just one, and he failed me too. Although I remember admiring his attacking style a couple of years ago, or maybe even last year, I guess it was mostly drugs. I see the Katusha lot are not even racing him in the Tour, an ALL-Russian team. More spelling nightmares.

I have spelling nightmares with the FP's - I can do Kiryienka and Kreuziger now, but I guess I'll have to learn to spell the new young (and unpronouncable) K who rides for Rabobank (Sounds a bit like 'crosswick' the way people say it!) _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

I try really hard to get all the Basque names, but hey, there are limits to multiculturalism.
the good thing about names in Russian script (lad also with living in France, where they spell names differently than in English) is that it turns out that no one is quite certain how you make the sounds in Russian with Romance language scripts. So as long as it is vaguely recognisable, it is hard to say it is wrong. |

Funny how you can spin these things two ways. |
