| Noel said he was going to change it so you could have multiple teams on one email but I am not sure he has done that. I use different emails. |

I know what you mean - I have a policy of no:
Astana
HTC/T-Mob
Disco/USP/RS
Sky
BMC
No Contador and no cavendish
I waver on my no Katusha rule.
Needless to say it takes out a lot of riders.

OK, so I had to set up a new mail account, since I forgot my other.
McQuaid's Marauders.
Danilo Di Luted
Pope Menchov
Gianni Visconti
Fabio Sabatini
Manuel Belletti
Igor Anton
Roman Kreuziger
Alessandro Petacchi
Michele Scarponi
A mixture of old and new.
I will be changing some though, when all the riders become available. |

I am entering a team with only those who speak English as their first language, just for 'fun'. Thing is, I can't find many climbers, which I never suspected would be a problem. I was wondering if any of you could PM me with some Anglophone climbers that I don't know about. Thanks. _________________ Politics and Cycling in the South of France http://thomasvasil.wordpress.com/ |

Even had time to try to enter a team of French riders. But I discovered there are not enough to fill a team. Apparently the French riders, with a few exceptions are saving themselves for their own Tour, or of course almost no French teams have been invited, or hardly any French riders ride for non-French teams which have been invited. AG2R is an exception, since they are pretty good. I knew about Italians not going to the Tour, but I had not figured that there are almost no French riders in the Giro.
Live and learn. |

Other than Evans, there doesn't seem to be much choice. Dario Cioni is a climber of sorts, I suppose. You could pick Dutch and Belgian riders - they all seem to speak English???
Edit - Oops Evans isn't riding, is he? _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

Huw - you are probably the person who is most in the know about who is in and who is out.
If you list the riders who are missing I can pass them onto Noel to add to the list.
I know that the likes of Machado, Duarte etc are missing.
French 9:
Gadret
Le Mevel
Dessel
Feillu
Pineau
Cazaux
Berard
Cherel

MJM: I will be off the PC most of today. New windows (house not PC!) being fitted.
Is there any way to cut and paste Noel's list?
If not, I'll try to go through them one at a time, which probably means tomorrow, at the earliest. |

Hey MJM,
Thanks for the tip, I must have missed some of the French guys. So I think I will just enter them all in a Frogs team. See what happens. I appreciate the trouble you took. Thanks. |

So Les Froggies is now entered, just as MJM's research suggested. IN fact, I consider it 'our' team, since without his help I would not have bothered. In fact, it was kind of useful, as I have never heard of some of those riders, especially the younger ones, who are probably there just to support and to get in a break. WE'll see if I guess right on the jokers. In any case, it will give me (and anyone else, a chance to see how the French do in the Giro, although the very best guys are not really riding.
Adds a bit of fun. Ta, MJM. |

For no overwhelmingly good reason at all, I only wanted English speakers whose first language is English. Actually I sometimes think the English spoken by foreigners is better than some of the English spoken by Anglophones.
I added Cioni, I forgot he was born in England. |
