Meersman wins again.
Some confusion over which Trek rider was second.
Bonifacio, Felline and Didier all mentioned.

It was Felline.

Nothing at all happens for 3 hours and then collarbone carnage in the final 3kms.
Vive La Vuelta.
Gaps won't stand, even if it means no red for Piti.

Interesting, because Froome / Sanchez appeared to be far enough behind Quintana for them to award a gap.

We have lift off.
Mendes, Losada, Dider and Zeits among them.

That was the best stage we've had................not that it's saying a lot.
Some gutsy rides from the breakaway.

Yates wins, while Flecha questions Movistar's odd tactics.

You mean sending Moreno on an attack ? It did seem like a lot of work just to entrust it to Moreno from so far out.
I think they expected more of a response to Moreno which would have let them counter attack.
But given that Valverde won the "sprint" then why didn't they just keep going ?

Contador has lost his nerve and it's getting him hurt.
Daft move today, mixing it with the sprinters with 500m to go, then breaking too hard too soon coming into the final corner.
Results in a touch of wheels and a mashing on both tarmac and the barriers, as riders pile on top.

Jonas Van Genechten wins the sprint, with Meersman back in 7th, proving once again that my KOD is back with a vengeance.
My fantasy teams are melting away faster than ice cream in the Sahara, too. Sad
