Looks just like the kind of thing SR might use while out training with Mrs SR...I'm sure SR feels the benefit of tagging onto the missus.. Wink

Got mine on order already. I intend to slip it onto Mr SRs seatpost at the start of the marmotte while he's not looking.  Laughing

And here I thought SR was going to order it for himself so he can finally beat his buddy in a race. Wink

I will achieve victory by the tried and tested method of losing weight, training harder and weighing my pasta. Smile

Surely the sole motivation behind riding with a companion is the opportunity to serve up some pain and suffering, proceeding to spit them out back?

Must be for the MAMIL market...

So true. Darwin would be impressed with the concept of a "ride with friends".

The exception is  when the companion is one's Marmotteering wife. Then, the sole motivation is to be praised for one's reliability as a windbreak, watercarrier and bike cleaner!

You'll have to take that one up with my Team Leader. I wouldn't want to get into trouble for promoting myself above Watercarrier. Smile

She's out training at the moment, though...

I think I need to put a stop to the way this thread is heading and reassure everyone that Mr SR already knows his place.

Enough said.

Dear Mrs SR,
Perhaps you misunderstand our perspective in all this ....... it's our job on the team as "couch" warriors to remove as much of the glamour from the domestique role ie...we need to take the pi$$ as much as is physically possible (while admiring his achievements from a keyboard).

Allowing him to get away with any of the potential ribbing about his new inherited role would be not only beneath us but he just wouldn't enjoy his year as much..... Wink

Hugs and Kisses

It's a good point well made and I am well aware of your role but I would be failing in mine if I didn't keep him in his place.  Very Happy

p.s It's not a new role. Ten years ago he was doing the same only on a mountain bike.

No idea if this goes here, but I got a bit bored looking for a topic called "innovations" or whatever it might be.  Seemed moderately interesting.

Where WOULD be the right place?
