If you can catch Florence live it's worth the effort
other then festivals, i don't think she's played here but when she does (and i think there'll b e an announcement in september after the electric picnic festival of a date here) i would go
sheesh, i can't predict cycling results but i can predict gigs
it's just been announced that florence & the machine will be playing dublin in december
. . . joined forces again in 2007 for two shows, one at G-A-Y in London and one in Moscow. Alexander, Dominika and Jean-Pierre were present but La Camilla was replaced by an inflatable doll. . . .
I don't know whether to laugh or call them misogynists
Anyway, leaving all that aside I want the rematch between Sm and AoL on Ziegelhousenberg to be videoed with this as the soundtrack
i originally checked her solo stuff out in 2004 (to sound elitist. before she was a big star) because of her workings with the musician Jason Beck (better known as Gonzales) who has produced alot of her solo work and co-written a fair portion of it
and this is the song i can credit for getting me into Gonzales own stuff. that's beautiful piano at the start
I too get to listen to a lot of Feist due to sharing a CD player
I've been sharing this one which is good since The Avalanches are suffering from impossible second album syndrome and especially good as it reminds me of the summer that's departing
Feist are great, but you ave to be in the mood I find - like Joni Mitchell.
Richard and Linda Thompson, Jet Plane and a Rocking Chair - nice harmony.

"If you do a commercial, you’re off the artistic roll call forever. Every word you say becomes suspect. Every word you say is like a turd falling from your mouth into my drink."
Checking their Wiki page, I noticed they featured a Gene Gifford, who reminded me of Barry Gifford, who wrote Wild at Heart, which featured the above in its movie adaptation. Turns out there's another six books of the Sailor and Lula story
Bobby Peru - just like the country
If you've got a sensitive stomach then don't click the link.
First time I heard Feist was when Apple used her song 1-2-3-4 for their iPod commercial a year or so ago. It was a cute video too. Apple does come up with some interesting music & video for their commercials.
