The Cobblestone Fantasy Cycling League
There's a breakaway up the road with Maffy & Nolte, and the peleton of Gerry, FF and myself.  You guys all scored real big points on Paris-Roubaix, shows that just having the winner on the 1 day races isn't enough to keep the pace!  Long way to go so still all to race for yet.

It's cool logging in and seeing one of our pics on the main front page; i'm going to change me pic Maffy, as much as love the Bernie pic i've got a really nice Bahamontes one to replace it with.

sadly maffy has put in some big digs to get rid of the wil e. coynolte.

just a remember a team switch is coming up which will take into account turkey, romandy, dunkirk and 1 day race in frankfurt although lbl is covered with the previous switch.

Might I add that you are doing very well, Nolte.  Nice one.

But Maffy will win.

thanks

Well done FF!  Second overall LBL

Thank you Gerry.  I hadn't even looked.

YESSS.

Real reaction… "Holy shit, how did I do that?"
Second reaction … "Well, uh, thanks, just the result of careful choices based on years of obsession with cycling."

Maybe this will move me up the ranks a bit, and one day I will threaten Maffy.  I am pretty good at Grand Tours.

well done FF

I don't know if you l can believe this, but I somehow picked Aidis Kuopis to win something in Turkey, when I couldn't figure out anyone else in that category.  My first blind luck pick that has won.  Usually I know the rider and he loses.  Could my luck be changing?

You may win, Maffy, but watch your retroviseur.  Laughing

You're hitting your stride FF!  Alas my internet went down on Friday and i planned to do the teamswitch on Saturday so i'm stuck with the last rounds team.

Felicitations to Maffy, finishing first in the entire league for the Tour of Turkey Stage 4.  You gotta have Meersman, nice choice.

I have put together a team, but found it hard to judge how to weight for ToC especially as I can't find a start list. Figured 3 weeks of Giro probably dominates any other considerations. Half a season of training will not be a bad way of figuring out how to play game and the good news is that none of the existing players will now come on the bottom of the league Very Happy

Name is Ciottolo which I think is the Italian for Cobble.

Don't know about the others, but I just forgot about the tour of California.  I doubt if I will follow it closely as how much can one do.  And I think it is worth a fair bit less than the Giro.  Personally I would rather take pleasure in Wiggo winning or podiuming, than Sagan winning stages.

Good stuff Bio - don't count your chickens on coming last just yet, still thousands of points for me to fritter away with rubbish selections.

Here's the ToC startlist thus far, i've got at least one rider in there but that was luck rather than judgement hehehe

Bio you're not showing in the JC league, you'll need to PM Maffy for the league ID to join

At this exact moment, Gerry is tenth in the entire shebang for the Giro.  Yes!

That won't last...

Probably true, but one must seize the fleeting moments of glory.
