Thanks for the Danger Mouse link Maffy. Had read about it and the brother was sorting me a copy. He works in an IT department and spends his days torrenting - it's a classic case of who watches the watchmen.

Following the Dangermouse trail I stumbled across this free download mix from Kompakt. They're 10 this year as Warp leave their teenage years behind.

Kompakt released this 2 years back. Worth checking out if Germanic techno and trance shake your welly.

Saw Mercury Rev touring Boces, All is Dream and The Secret Migration. Boces was best thanks to Baker and Thorpe.

Since there's a new Welsh champ have we had a Welsh song on here before?

In the sense that you know what real music is, and you have excellent taste, yes.

Thank you Dainty Girl!

Tonight I have suffered a Franco Irish group playing a reggae version of Dirty Old Town!

Needed some sanity ..

(Steely Dan Reelin In The Years recorded in my home town!)

and this

Last night I went to see Pearl Jam at the O2 (Gomez opening).

Really good gig, I was very close to the stage. and I realised I'm getting too old for the jumping, hitting and pushing around... Embarassed nonetheless really really enjoyed it!  Very Happy

Did anyone see the BBC 4 stuff about Manchester/Factory last week?

Superb stuff and made me crack out my Joy Division collection.

Laughing

I can only remember seeing it once before on an episode of No Disco. I think this video was on the same episode. Weird but prompted me to buy his album.
