Ok guys,
here are two options for the cycling leagues, one is
http://www.nrtoone.com/fantasy/cycling/index.php?page=home
we already know about this one, is the same as last years TdF and Vuelta, the one with BBC 5 Live league. The guy has set up a Justcycling league for us and he will let us know when to start dong our teams for the TdF and Vuelta.
The second option is http://www.depontieu.net/cobble/index.php?CBL=2
this one has more races, not just the 3 GT´s but also other Pro Tour and 1 and 2 races, you can create a team up to the 6th of june, but if you miss that deadline you can create or change your team about once a month depending on the races etc... there is a justcycling league too.
We should decide which one do we fancy the most, and join just one, IMO

Just a suggestion from a newbie.
There are so many threads that overlap, it's becoming impossible to follow half the debate. It's a similar groan that's appearing on the new ES Yahoo site, which, I'm yet to join.
Maybe the problem lies in the subject header being way to small. If folks can't read the title to a response, it's easier to make your point by starting a new thread. If we had a decent, banner headline, it would save on the number of threads. The result might be debates that are more "evolved", as Bianchgirl might say.
But who am I to criticise, if that's the way folks like it. |

| I think stick with the old fantasy cycling from the BBC. We are familar with it. Also, I don't have enough time to set up my team for every single race etc. |

| The reality has proven even more fantastic, few predicted the Giro correctly. The 'experts' constantly backing riders who underperform as these favorites are drifting toward the bottom of the GC in the 3rd week. They are now counting on some deus ex machina (divine intervention) to save their asses LOL |

Either is good. However when I try to register a team for the tour on the BBC site, it won't let me.
As for the Cobblestone site, you do not have to enter a team for each race, rather the races are "clumped" together with specific dates set aside for you to change up your teams to represent the upcoming races. I believe that the final date to change your team for the tour is just before it starts............
It is a good league and fun as it has many sub sections that you can earn points/improve your placements.
Anyway would appreciate knowing the secret for choosing a team for choice number 1. _________________ "I give up, why a duck?" |

I think you need to wait until they announce the teams for the TdF, not sure, I will let everyone know when it starts.
They have aslo created a Justcycling League for us. (This is all in option 1) _________________ NB All posts listed under this name belong to Berg, the transfer of site ownership meant the change of name on these posts. |

Sorry, there was a bug that locked team edits, didn't spot it for the Giro because it only was a problem in tours with a prologue. You should now be able to create a new team or select new riders for your existing team.
All riders are available to be picked for the teams entered, except Barloworld because I haven't yet added all their riders to the DB.
As the actual team rosters are announced, I will trim the available to be picked riders appropriately. Team managers can swap and change their picks at any time up until the morning of ther prologue. Any riders picked that DNS are automatically randomly exchanged for riders of similar value that are riding. |

| Definately sticking with NRT's league, will be donating some cash too when I come to do my TdF team. My Giro effort was pitiful.... |
