With the win bonus, Fuglsang might just win the GC. Froome's barrier squeeze from the other day might be decisive!

Looks like I'm behind everyone on ES - so I'll duck out for a few minutes...

Brilliant stuff, just how a bike race should finish.  Fuglsang never overcooked it, stayed calm and did the business.  Froome now has a formidable weapon in his descent, but the climbing needs to improve.  I feel sorry for Porte, but he doesn't have the nous or the bottle.

Kirby almost broke his own record for clueless commentary halfway up the climb...

I think part of Porte's problem was being isolated so he couldn't mark everything. Fuglsang had already gone clear (for the 1st time) when the TV went live, so that would be the interesting thing to see  - when and how he slipped away.

Great stage. Shockingly bad commentary.

Great ride by Porte, but we've seen today why he won't win the Tour (or any other GT)

GT champs obviously have it down to a fine art.

Cor, that was a sweet stage.
Fuglsang and Porte covered the final climb in just about equal time, but Birdsong looked to be singing with a bit more breath to spare.
Dan Martin's attack, along with Froome, basically won him the GC.
Impressive ride from young Louis M, eventually breaking Bardet in the process.   Froomey almost back to a bit of his old style weaving.
Definitely a few points off where he would expect to be, three weeks from Düsseldorf.

Well he's not with Astana anymore, so not sure how much of it is relevant 2 years later.
