After their antics yesterday, either Nibali or Zakarin can kiss their GC ambitions goodbye on stage 18. I coming for one of you. Laughing

For today, stage 17:- Enrico Battaglin.

Another quiet day on the road. Breakaway bingo is not easy when there are 40 riders . . .

I myself am in the mountains for the next few days as it's the mega long weekend for Ascension Thursday. I plan to be doing some ascending by bike. Will hopefully still be following things here, but updating spreadsheet will not be possible. Here it is if Kathy or even someone else is able to give it a go. If not then I will post up concluding results when I get back on Monday.

Landa would be my first choice. Secure the Jersey and get the stage win. I'll go with Dumoulin

I have virtually no internet atm, so here goes:-

Stage 18: Zakarin
Stage 19: Kruisjwijk
Stage 20: Nibali
Stage 21: Dumoulin

Stage 18

A little slow today.  Rather than share, since nearly every serious contender has been picked, I am ruminating on Jungels, Pinot, Yates, Cataldo or Carthy.  What ever happened to Carthy anyway?

Three of them are too much the outsider, so it is either Pinot or Yates.  I would really like to see Yates win a stage. But when in doubt, given that he has been so uneven and inconsistent and unreliable this Giro, maybe today is the day when it will all come together for the Frenchman.

Pinot

Stage 19

Much prefer to see Kathy win, or rather Pinot.

But since no one has him yet, I shall choose the Pink Jersey

Dumoulin
