There's a not very happy answer with regards to Thomas Mad

Kathy comfortably grows her lead and Mazda and I swap places.

I think after yesterday there is no doubt about who is going to win the ITT (unless Kiriyenka wants it).
But I'll stick with Jungels as he has a day to recover.

Stage 11 - I'll go for A. Yates pls, on the assumption he'll lose more time tomorrow.

Not wanting to be stalking Slapshot for 2 days running, but equally hard to see past Dumoulin for Stage 10 TT as it was for Quintana for MTF.

on the basis that Dumoulin has it in the bag, but Sky might be looking for a stage win, I'll chance Kiryienka....

I don't know what the protocol is about choosing someone who is already "taken" (otherwise I'd go for the obvious choice....)  can someone who knows what's going on let me know what the protocol/system is? ta!

The idea used to be that there are fixed amount of points for a rider (calculated on their position and the number entrants on the day). If 10 people enter on a day then the top 6 riders are worth - 100, 60, 40, 30, 20, 10. Points for a rider are shared amongst those who picked them. When we had more people playing it worked better. The favourite would get picked  few times and points would be shared out. There were more potential points by being a lone second than sharing the winner (favourite) with say three others. Riskier but higher reward. See MTF above - Kathy's Pinot pick scored 60, whereas Slapshot and I shared the 100 for Quintana so it was 50 apiece and Kathy outscored us on the day.

These days everyone seems to be frightfully polite, so whoever picks the favourite first is generally left to it. I encourage you to pick whatever you want . . .   Smile

FDJ have improved their TT greatly recently, so I'll try Pinot again for stage 11 to follow Tom in.

Stage 10

Truth is is seems like we are short of top end TT guys, as we are short of top end sprinters.  Normally I wold have assumed Dumoulin, maybe Jungles, then picked Thibaut for French nationalistic reasons.  But they are all taken, some more than once.

Campanaerts.  Hardly know the guy at all, but might pick up a crumb or two.

A pretty good stab in the dark, I'd say, given I was going to pick him!

I'll take his team mate, Jos Van Emden.

As would I.

A bit more on the numbers.
Dumoulin already has 2 backers, so if you wanted to be a third backer you could win a maximum of 3.33.
Clearly picking 2nd or 3rd on your own is a better bet, especially if your choice might win, and Tom might not.

Well, Huw, anytime I think I am a clever dick and know a thing or two, remind me about this pick.  He lost 11 minutes and must be ill or something.  Certainly, on the day a terrible pick.  You did well to be a bit late in picking.  And my nationalist pick Thibaut, he really had a terrible day.  Frankly, I think he is a bit of lad who has never settled down and taken his job very seriously.  Even If I like him a bit.

So I read that Landa was not even certain to start the ITT.  Doubt he can recover that quickly from an apparently serious problem.  So I will ditch him.

Instead, since nearly all the big favourites have been picked, I will go for an Italian, as it is about time they win a stage.  Conti, Visconti or Rosa seem possible as wild guesses.

Please change me to Conti.  Merci.
