Hehehe, that's pretty compact.  Mine is obsessed with sitting on newspapers and books whilst i'm trying to read.

Last vid i posted was a cat attacking a cyclist, here's a cat protecting a cyclist, and i mean really protecting a cyclist, would've been real nasty if he hadn't

Great clip! Although the boy's mother is obviously Xanaxed up to her eyeballs.  She was persuaded by her friends to post a video of her cat saving her dog... Rolling Eyes  Very Happy

i think someone is being shy. also if you look closely, you can see the home of other creatures, namely spiders.

and here is a photo of someone that bullies me

and finally the mother of the kittens when she was a kitten, how they grow. i remember it like it was 2012

Lovely photos of your kitties, Nolte!

We are up in Asturias at the moment, and we had a sad event yesterday.

The two volunteers at the finca  (they help with the foster dogs, cats, donkeys, the land etc) found a young kitten in the lane last week.  We took him for a check-up at the vet, and he was a male, about four weeks old.  We named him Pipsqueak (Pip for short), because he did a lot of squeaking.  He was feisty and affectionate and kept trying to follow us about.

But he was very thin, had to be treated for fleas and parasites, and although he was eating well, it was obviously not enough, and he'd lost his mum too early.  Yesterday morning we found him dead in his catbox.

RIP, Pip.

It was something of a sad day in the Slowrower household on Monday as Felinerower The Elder embarked on a one way trip to the vet. The old girl has been ill for some time - hyperthyroidism - and having resisted all practical treatments, the time came to end her suffering.

Still, at nearly 16, she's had a good innings and her demise was not unexpected. I'm not much of a cat person, and only agreed to Mrs SR's cat plan back in the early noughties as we were under constant attack from the local rodent population. Felinerower The Elder was a prolific mouser in her youth, so she certainly fulfilled her part of the deal. She also endured years of tailpulling and other indignities at the hands of the Little Rowers and their friends with nothing more violent than a feeble "mew".

Just as I'm not a cat person, Felinerower The Elder never really took to me, and even in her final days, she took great delight in doing implausibly smelly dumps in the litter tray in the workshop when I was on the turbo. Even so, I hope she's enjoying herself in the "Great Catbasket in the Sky".

Felinerower The Younger appears non-plussed at her promotion, if indeed she's even noticed any difference. (She's quite possibly the world's most stupid cat, though again, a prolific mouser.)

Felinerower The Only (as she now is) won't lack for company though as we recently acquired Caninerower, a Springerdoodle puppy, so the headcount is back to its optimum level of 6. (7 was a bit much, if truth be told.) Caninerower is currently in Mrs SR's dog training bootcamp, in which Mrs SR's Marmotte training intensity is applied, so I confidently expect Caninerower to be riding a unicycle before too long! She's certainly lined up to come running with us when she's a bit older, which should be fun. Smile

Thanks for the kind thoughts, folks. The new arrival is certainly a lively one, though with no apparent mousing skills!
