Gorka Izagirre to Euskaltel from Contentpolis Ampo. It appears that Beñat Intxausti will not be joining EE after all, preferring to stay with Fuji-Servetto.

Paolo Tiralongo (Lampre-NGC) has signed for Astana on a two year contract according to biciciclismo.com.
Another decent signing and from that Astanafans list, so.........

Giuseppe Martinelli (not new) and Guido Bontempi to be Directors on the Astana team for 2010.

Gorazd Stangelj (Liquigas) also confirmed for Astana and Enrico Gasparotto (Lampre) set to sign.

Class acts, both. Where were Sky?
Definitely on the up!

According to wielerflits.com who are quoting gazeta.kz this will be Astanas 2010 line up. Very impressive I think, also would appear as though they have kept Morabito?

Astana 2010
blijven
Bazayev, Assan (Kaz)
Contador, Alberto (Spa)
Dmitrijev, Valeri (Kaz)
Dyachenko, Alexander (Kaz)
Hernández, Jesús (Spa)
Iglinskiy, Maxim (Kaz)
Kireyev, Roman (Kaz)
Morabito, Steve (Zwi)
Muravyev, Dmitriy (Kaz)
Navarro, Daniel (Spa)
Noval, Benjamín (Spa)
Raimbekov, Roman (Kaz)
Renev, Sergey (Kaz)
Schär, Michael (Zwi)
Vinokourov, Alexander (Kaz)
Zeits, Andrei (Kaz)
Zubeldia, Haimar (Spa)

Nieuw
Simoni, Gilberto (Ita) < Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni
Tiralongo, Paolo (Ita) < Lampre-NGC
Gasparotto, Enrico (Ita) < Lampre-NGC
Caruso, Giampaolo (Ita) < Ceramica Flaminia
Davis, Allan (Aus) < Quick Step
Kunitski, Andrei (WRu) < Quick Step
Samoilav, Branislav (WRu) < Quick Step
Plaza, Rubén (Spa) < Liberty Seguros
David De La Fuente (Spa) < Fuji-Servetto
Gorazd Stangelj (Slo) < Liguigas
Gourov, Maxim (Kaz) < CarmioOro
Fofonov, Dmitriy (Kaz) < Elite-2

Starting to look like a tasty squad. GP Caruso would be a huge bonus.
With all these Italians signing, I could see Gibo making the move back to the PT, too. Smile

Surely the dark horse is if they can refind Kash who is, last I heard, somewhat reclusive.

That Astana squad is plenty good enough to give Bertie all the support he needs.

Perhaps Kash is still feeling anemic, seeing as he apparently donated several gallons worth of blood for Vino's leisure....

The squad is more than good enough for Contador to win, with ease.

Wow, Astana attempting total domination again.  Well, since there's not a TTT anyway.

I can't find anything about this on the Spanish websites, which are notoriously late in updating.

Freddy Bichot (Agritubel)  Anthony Charteau (Caisse d'Epargne) and Nicolas Vogondy (Agritubel) to Bbox.

i am useless at scientific stuff but i did wonder if they could have dna-ed the positive samples of kashekin and vinokourov and compared to the other's blood profiles out of interest to see if they had, as i suspected at the time, that they got the bag's mixed up

lesson - always label your blood bag's properly. i.e. they probably labeled both bags with "naz's boy" in error

From Velo-club net: today's edition

Dani Navarro
(Astana), 13ème de la Vuelta, restera aux côtés de son compatriote Alberto Contador l'année prochaine. Il a décidé de rester dans l'équipe kazakhe.

Kathy,

Find the team of Mauro Gianetti and you'll know where Cobo is.

From Velo-club:

Mauro Gianetti continuera son aventure dans le peloton professionnel avec une équipe Pro Tour, les têtes de liste seront Juan José Cobo Acebo et Eros Capecchi.

Yes, I know where Cobo is now.  I just haven't seen anything about where he might be going.

The article is about transfer. I reckoned he's going to transfer to Mauro-Gianetti's Team Scott-American Beef?  Maybe I got it wrong...and that's his present team?

Seen nothing to confirm Cobo. Gasparotto has gone quite.
For the latest Astana signing "rumour".
