Tony Martin 12" on Yawnstrong at the split!
French tv prefer to show LA warming down than Leipwhiner on the course.

He could win the Tour. Are the roads damp does anyone know? _________________ END THE MADNESS

And Frankie Andreu was interviewing Armstrong before the start. What am I missing? |
Yeah. Think that was a tense moment? _________________ END THE MADNESS

| i think its safe to say that denis menchov will not win this prologue. what will be interesting is his (and all the other gc contenders) time at the top of the climb. I think thats what matters in terms of gauging their form. |

LL's time is a good benchmark for the GC contenders.
If it rains, any effort that breaks 20 will be pretty special. You can't win a race over a 15km TT, but can lose it many, many times over. |

IO don't think that's safe to assume. It's asking a lot for him to come in and win the prologue, much the less the Tour, but his TT form was top-notch in the Giro. I'm interested in how he finishes compared to those who contested the Giro, like Leipheimer. _________________ "Bloody cheats!" |

MS, the reason i say that is that hes an absolutely terrible descender and cornerer. No way he can beat someone who chucks themselves down the technical downhill second half.
I think he could well win the tour (if he avoids his usual first week idiocy, and survives the descents) but i dont think he can win this prologue. |

I doubt whether people like Menchov and Sastre will have any interest in winning this TT - they will just not want to give too much time away. Contador, on the other hand, probably thinks he has a point to prove. _________________ "You can't win races with passion alone."

I think the first worry Denis has, will he get caught by Cancellara
Sorry but I've just seen the 2 minutes. _________________ It's all Publicity "Money" and Cycling is only a Thread it runs along.

i think contador and evans need to take time here, so they will go for it.
on the evidence of the last year and a half contadors main strength is now his timetrialling and not his climbing. he needs to take time here on sastre and andy schleck, and i think denis "loctite" menchov. and yes, he certainly has a point to prove.
on the other hand, the leadership question will be over if contador falls.. |

Win the GC, not Stage 1.
