Okay, so my best friend just saw George Clooney, who's shooting a movie here in STL.  He even smiled at her!  Damn, but my brushes with greatness are always once removed. Confused

He was filming a few blocks from MY HOUSE the other day and I didn't even know it.

Okay, dumb news, but fun.

I'm surprised you didn't sense a change in the force when he was around

lol...well, I did feel some tingling, but I thought it was too much MSG. Razz

have you been to see the new Clive movie yet?  Duplicity?  I might go this weekend.  Clever name for a movie...duplicity.

nope, haven't had time heck haven't had time to do much of anything fun lately.

sucks.

let me know if you like the movie.

Looks like a fun pet, but you'd have to hide the Kalashnikov.

Wow.  It also looks kind of like a rastafarian covered in spanish moss.  I wonder if it's itchy.

Never made it to the movie.  Now it's baseball (and fishing) season so it looks ever more unlikely.  I will have to make do watching Quantum of Solace on DVD tonight.

Fun can be elusive.  Hope things are going better for you now.

Q:  Why is a man so smart during sex?

A:  Because he's plugged into a genius.

Did you know that Billy Ocean is a rastafarian?--(and has been for more than 15 years).

I prefer the 'which celebrity is a rasta?' game to the usual 'which celebrity is a Scientologist' game.

I did not know that Billy Ocean was a rasta.  Did you know that Cat Stevens is a Muslim on the terrorist watch list?  Interesting outcome for the guy who wrote Peace Train.  Maybe he should've smoked some ganga and become a rastafarian instead.

Yep - I saw that on the news a while ago, he actually changed his name to Yusuf Islam, and somehow ended up on the no-fly list.  When his plane landed in the US, he was detained by Homeland Security and deported the next day.

That is a depressing tattoo.

Actually, having looked at them all now, they are all a bit depressing.  Don't get me wrong, they're funny, but you despair for humanity a little if it's constituted by these people.  There's an 'advice' book in Australia called 'No tattoos before you're 30', after one of the bits of advice in it.  I don't think that's a bad rule, actually, but some of these turkeys should have waited longer still.

I notice that the same paper has a link to 'the world's weirdest festivals':

I would rather have one with a smiley face that reads "just did it".

That looks like Australia, except I can see some green in the photo.

Got to hand it to the Torygraph.  They have a radar for the odd stories:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/n...his-skin-to-National-Gallery.html

'An Australian man whose body is covered in tattoos has pledged to donate his skin to the National Gallery when he dies.'

Another interesting article, at least in my view.
