I thought with the Vuelta on the horizon it might be a good idea to open this up.
I don't like Astana and hope Bertie gets a beating, and know the team take more drugs than Keith Richards and the GB track team combined, but I don't need to read about it on threads for every stage.
How about, every time someone feels like sounding off about any of the riders in the thread title, they do it here?

I edited the topic title, slapshot.
Added Riis and CSC.
Didn't add Denmark though.... _________________ I put the hammer down but it bounced back and smacked me in the teeth. |

You left out clean riders - since you also need a place to complain that the tests aren't working and that poor old Basso is just a victim.
You can have your daily rant about how it is all a sham. |

Can we also have a "I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but Cadel Evans hasn't attacked so far today" thread for next season. _________________ "and if you are not careful in the morning you could wake up dead" |

Great idea Shim - ideal for the Missus as she hates ALL riders. Including ones who probably aren't doping and even those that definitely aren't doping.
Very soon it will the death of a thousand insults for anybody who likes any rider whatsoever. |

Cos in the world of Sooty the only riders who we can criticise are Johnny Foreigner Americans or Russians. 'Honest I'm not racist, some of my favourite riders are foreign.'
We can even have a thread for you to claim that your career as a never was some how gives you greater insight into elite sport than anyone else in the world. You can also pretend that somehow you have the inside track on cycling, or bullshitting as it is more commonly to make yourself sound more important than you actually were. |

| If I want to induce torpor I just need to read your posts. Still keep on trying, tell you what why don't you bore the pants off us all by telling us about your books and how hard you work - because everyone is just sooooooo interested in your life. |

| And the involuntary bodily movements - the tics and twitches? Are they still causing you distress? |

| Wouldn't know but you are obviously suffering from them since every time you go to type you end up producing incomprehensible bollocks. It sucks that you've got St Vitus' but it does explain a lot. |

| Well, here at the centre we've been reading your notes very carefully and we can see that your resistance to the drugs has obviously increased. I gather there's been an upsurge in the obsessive thought patterns? Particularly in relation to doping in sport - have you an idea what might have sparked that off? That does seem a most peculiar obsession - we think it may be primarily psychosexual in nature. Remember, you can tell us - you are among friends now. Do you think it might be rooted in some sort of childhood trauma? |

Ripping off Cape will get you nowhere. But nice to see that you are imagining that you are somewhere and someone that you aren't. Looks like your grip on reality is loosening by the day.
As for obsessive - let me see, second thread in two days about me. Suggest you get yourself checked out.

Ah yes, the delusions - the imaginary "threads" - yes, there are several references to this in your notes. I know it's painful for you to face these fantasies, but this "Sooty" that keeps troubling you - we can reassure you that he hasn't started any threads at all in recent weeks.
And the imaginary husband - yes, we need to talk about that as well. Do you feel up to it this afternoon? |

Not really but then you've never let the facts get in the way of your problems have you.
As for personal trauma/problems - you're the middle aged man getting on and living alone by himself. Far be it for me to suggest that your personality issues might well be the cause of this.
How was it you described Hetchins? 'A lonely old man sitting at home with just his old trophies for company'. Sounds like you were describing yourself there. What is it that Cape calls it - transference? |

Yes, I see - the delusions are really setting in now, you are now imagining all sorts of things. Yes, well no need to worry - you're in safe hands now, we'll sort you out some new medication.
Meanwhile, if you can, try not to fixate on the cycling motifs so much, we're not sure why yet but these do seem to be at the epicentre of your psychosis. Have you tried something more soothing like knitting or hoovering? Oh dear that's set you off again, the limbs are flailing, the language! Nurse nurse! We need some help here.... |
