Oh yeah. Got 18th place today out of 50 starters, which was good since most of them were 30 years younger. Rode conservatively, but man this bike is light! Makes it easier on this arthritic neck & weak arms from a herniated disc in my neck at C5-6. Stevens is making really good bikes. _________________ END THE MADNESS

Yeah, well, I'm only four years into this and only two in 'cross. The carbon frame is lighter and easier to carry, esp. since I have a herniated disc in my neck that causes weakness in my right deltoids and biceps (my carrying side in cyclocross). And I got it for a steal! Have broken into the top 20 three times now and am shooting for top 10-15 in the next 4 weeks. That's pretty good for the big guy, considering I compete against guys half my age (and weight!) and who have been racing a heck of a lot longer. We can't all be as fast as you, TT! _________________ END THE MADNESS

I do. The Stevens is my cyclocross bike, the Trek is my road bike. _________________ END THE MADNESS

Yeah really lucky! No racing this weekend. Going out in the rain on the cross bike in a few minutes. Have you been racing/riding paperman? _________________ END THE MADNESS

Riding a bit when I can but fitness has taken a massive dent over last few months, been very very busy for me. Getting back into it now and I'm going to make the winter count. Plan on sticking in a race or two next yr, as well a sportive or a few...... fingers crossed. _________________ It could be worse!!! |

Cheers TT.
Photo's are from the person who sold it to me. I've not re-built it yet, but at 55cm it should be ok as it's the same as my other Italian steel thoroughbreds! Might have to source another Campag SR seat post though as that one is very short to the limit mark. |

i adore the 3ttt bars. used to race on those until some plonker in an xr2(i) decided to knock me off and bend them a quarter of a century ago. loveliest bars ever. nice pink benotto. a relation used that on a blue bike. where's your velodrome? |

Good spot with the 3ttt bars maffy! You know your kit!!
Velodrome? Umm ... I don't think it will get much further than my rollers. Obbviously I NEEDED a bike just for the rollers I'm probably crazy, but I just couldn't resist the Giro pink - so its another addition to the bat cave ...err ... bike cave! |
