Speaking of current stables what about older stables, how long would you keep a carbon frame on the road for? Me, I see no reason to stop using a carbon frame just because of age. Don't trek give lifetime warranty with their bikes???. I'll stop using my carbion biikes when the frame stops performing, or I see a dredded hair line crack start. As for frames made from metals......no worries there either. _________________ It could be worse!!!

Heres my new bike. For those of you that followed my saga with my Fondriest Top Carbon, this represents the basic conclusion of the painful drama. For those that dont know (before JC), i was returning my 2004 Top Carbon frameset to Italy on a warranty matter when Fondirest went belly-up...as they held my 4000$ frame. I had no one to contact and believed after 3 years that I essentially lost out on the frame.
Fondriest has been reborn with new owners and so I contacted them about the matter, and I have to say, went to the table to help me as much as they could. My old frame was ostensibly stolen and sold on Ebay or something, and the new owners did not buy the old companies liabilities. However, they felt for my plight, and came forward with an offer for a new TF2 that any rational person could not pass, so I bought it at a greatly appreciated price. Ive put Chorus 11s on it. Its being shipped and Ill post pix when its all together or in stages.

well ive been told lads im told that none of these frame materials really ages and thats just myth, not carbon not aluminium of course not titanium nor steel all thats just bollocks they last a lifetime unless you crash them lads now go ride on

Thanks BB. Its a challenging looking frame for me, as I tend to like more traditional frame shapes, but its what they offered, and so its what I could get. Im hopeful its nice. the reviews have been positive, so thats a plus!
good news indeed headwind i had a friend who had a similar problem with that company named for the world champion but not a world champion business no not at all and yes things do tend to come full circle thats a good story i think they owed it to you and happy to hear you got a bargain hope it was bargain enough and enjoy those mountains of east tennessee especially going up and one day just one day for once more i will see america before i die god willing

aluminium are stiff doent like them either just cant seem to shape and fashion bikes out of the stuff for a comfy ride so why bother go with steel it is indeed real so they say and forgiving and now lighter than ever yes mates steel is not so bad really and thunder from what ive been reading might just well ride us all off his back wheel of steel certainly me since my only wheels are on this reclining chair of late
why slopping uptube.. i woudl assuem the bike woudl be a tuff handler.. good luck.
