Sheep,
These are really amazing bikes and truly beautiful. A friend finally bought a custom frame for himself and he loves it. I do think that HW had a thread about this somewhere earlier too.
If I can find some of my photos of Calfees from Interbike, I would be happy to post them. The tandem was amazing too.

Wonder what the long term quality's like tho?

I can see how they are strong, given that bamboo is used for scaffolding in many places.
Don't know how good they would be for sprinting? Bit of flex maybe.

Steve is well into his third year of riding his frame. However I know that it is not his only frame as he owns an LBS so has options. He loves it however.

Sorry - have we already done this? I really should try and keep up more.

I don't know, maybe it is like the "Why is Vino wearing the blue jersey instead of the pink jersey of TMO?"

I cannot find the one of the tandem that was at the show.

I had one of those once when I was on the island. The professor made it for me out of bamboo, coconuts, and spare parts from an old radio. I didn't put many miles on it though, instead it was mostly used just to recharge the batteries. I do remember once I was pedaling really hard and the bike flew off its stand. Me and the bike went flying out of the hut and into the bushes. I got smacked quite a few times on the head by the skipper's hat, I tell you!
