No need to reply anymore as I've got them 2 off eBay. Now I've just got to try and keep up!

What did you get them, redster? I'm in the market for one myself.

They were just two old steel youth bikes. One is a Puch. Fella had put some old Shimano gears on them but boy they weigh a ton! They truly are first bikes to see how they get on with them.

Smart choice. I'll be using e-Bay soon again myself.

The cool thing is that for me I had to justify carbon this, and upgrade gruppo that to my wife but the kids were over the moon with a bike that had drops and skinny wheels!

It's a Raleigh banana! I particularly like the big loop of brake cable.
Reminds me of my first derraileur - my old Puch frame took quite some bending to make the transition from sturmey archer, but once I'd done it, I had (what I thought was) an amazing bike and I felt like an engineer!

Cape.....Team Tibco, a local pro women's team is actually having a "garage sale" this Saturday. We are gonna check it out since they use Look bikes....and they have bikes made for short women (that would be me... ) This should be fun.....

In a similar vein i noticed Ben Swift selling some of his 'free' cycling goods (including a TOB KOM podium jersey) on eBay...although I refuse to believe in £10 postage for a helmet!

Wow, that sounds cool - maybe we should start a thread on good websites or places to buy cycling gear, collectibles etc.
I know that the British team sometimes sell off their bikes at the end of the season.
Anybody got an Rapha gear? Very expensive! But I did see a pair of BWT Fixed Shorts for sale on eBay at 26 pounds sterling!!! The size small would still probably be too big for me, but I got in touch with Rapha some time ago to ask about bespoke fixed shorts as it mentioned on their website that this may be a possibility - haven't heard a peep out of them!
Sorry I'm just starting to ramble now!

Wish I could be there. If you find a steal on a kid's roadie, buy it and I'll pay you back.
