Wow, what an interesting profile!

From Huw's opening post, I see the weather conditions are tough at the top of the climb halfway through! I'm sure the weren't included on the graphic this morning. Have they been updating all week and I've just been blind?

I think when I last saw a Spanish weather forecast a couple of days ago that there was rain forecast further north.  I can believe it, it is in fact a bit cloudy here today - getting ready for Wednesday, when there will be a torrential downpour.

a justin link to today's stage - the weather is foul!

Deja vu?
A week on, racing track and peeing down! Sad
Another ITT lottery.
Grabsch will hold off Millar, but Vino has the equal fastest split.......
Bartali

Like I said - Vino is in good shape!!!

Vino planning to take a huge shit on Pat McQuaid's doorstep.

Watching it on TVEi - and I am glad to be inside.
HuwB

Only in the Valencia area.
Better forcast for tomorrow's climbing, although, I see that West Central Spain is a mere 44C, today!

Thanks for the link Kathy. Just got back from doing my last road race of the season, in terrible weather, so glad to see these guys are getting cold and wet too...

From the weather and terrain they might as well still be pottering around the polders Shocked

So will Zubeldia + Vino do their version of Contador + Armstrong?

Vino must have remembered where he's been the last two years......40 sec to Dave
Bartali

Cuddles on his way.

HZ being allowed access to the good stuff by LA in order to fuck up Vino. Has HZ announced his intention to join Cack yet?

Spaaaartaaa!!!

This stage really does lack some SM FP's and time splits. This is the kind of stage that cries out for some random guesswork.
HuwB

As has the whole race.
Of course, Conta would have kicked Sparta's butt. Rolling Eyes
Normal service resumed.

If we take Sammy Sanchez as the benchmark, there's not a huge loss by any of the contenders.

Only Basso was a bit disappointing, while the Shreks were just predictable.
Bartali

Basso disappointing, but starting tomorrow is where the questions will be answered!
Mrs John Murphy

Got to say that watching the race on TVEi was great. No Harmon, no ad breaks, just racing.
MS

Go Tommy D.

This is Sammy's Vuelta.
