looks like Fuglsang knows he isn't kidding anyone (well, except SM):

Berto is in the TDP studio today.  He's wearing a t-shirt that says 'DIRTY MINDS'!

Duarte, Amets T and Frank all joined that big break.
6m07 with 51km to go

The countryside makes me breathe easier.  Looks like we might have two races in one today.

They are reporting a very strong headwind at the top of the climb.

Although I didn't pick him, I would love to see Moncoutie win.  Such an eccentric guy, but Millar says he was completely clean on a dirty team in the Cofidis days.  Apparently the bain of his managers.

Sky is being fairly impressive, non?

Froome?  Story of the Vuelta maybe.

You've gotta love Moncoutie Very Happy

Wiggo in Red....who'd have thunk it!!!

Once again having to play a little bit of catch up.
Really impressed with Rabo's animation, today.
TGBM starting to look a true GC threat.
JRod was never going to get mush back on that climb into that exposed wind.

Wiggins looks very strong, but the team collectively look pretty mountain weak.

Glad Fuglsang couldn't suck all the way to the top. He's was starting to look like a handy replacement for Leipheimer, at Bruyneel-Trek.

Fred Kessiakoff is the new Dennis Menchov. Never seen, but no distance from the podium.

Moncoutie stamps his climbing class on another Vuelta stage.

I agree about Rabo's strength. As Mollema is evidently one of the strongest climbers in the race (maybe without any major acceleration but still there every day so far unlike JRod/Scarponi/Nibs)... they're playing the Kruiswijk wildcard really well. He may be 6 minutes down on GC, but we saw today that Sky were not willing to let him go too far in front. And we saw on the third attack, how Kruiswijk and Mollema both went together and it took Froome everything he had left to bridge the main group back across. If that broke Froome today, i'm looking forward to what they can do later in the week.

The Angliru will sort Wiggo out. So i can see an epic battle between Mollema and Nibs up to the summit; JRod will probably figure on that day too. Status quo  until then methinks. With Scarponi so far back maybe he is also saving it all for a major stage win on that climb?

Rabo had a third guy chasing wheels in the main group too... quick check of the results it was Slagter who lost 30s in the last acceleration from Nibs and co in the last km.

Really enjoyed today, despite the climb not being too challenging the length of it caused a few cracks to appear particularly in Fuglsangs' armour.

Not quite the epic hot climbing stage of last year when Nibs and Jrod went mano-a-mano up the final climb.. but this is building up nicely to the ANgliru. Forum Index -> The 3 GT´s
