Can't see Mosquera winning this one, Levi. I've just been looking where I've got to go for the finish.
Straight line of 1.4km with slight uphill gradient of 2%. Now I know where it is, I would have said it's more like 0%
Seriously, it really is pan flat! I know the road well.

Frank Schleck has abandoned.

If I were ASO I wouldn't invite Saxo next year. Just invite the Big Swiss as a Privateer!

It's becoming an unfunny joke.
Their Giro squad was a travesty and now this pathetic effort.
After all, it's not as if they are some lowly French squad.
If they regularly get the "attendance not required" notification.....

He'd still be very competitive in the TTT.

I guess he didn't like riding on his own without his baby brother!
Give me the Bobet brothers any day! The Schleks are a couple of no-marks.

Take it back, re Frank.
Harmon says he's gone home for a vacant knee surgery slot.
No Lombardy or Worlds for the elder....
Nice day allround!

Few more seconds lost by Cunego and HZ today.
Rest day tomorrow? Then Caisse and Liquigas go to war!

Siesta everyone?
Well, a rather interesting stage, ended in the now usual messy bunch free for all.
Good win for Farrar, but at only 59kph.
Some jammy FPers got 2 Gilbert points, as Cancellara, screwed over Griepel, Bennati and Freire!

I'm hoping Roman K will wake up after his Siesta - high time he helped his boss out. I assume that's the plan for the next three day's in the saddle. Thoughts anyone?

We jammy FP'ers appreciate the sprinting efforts of Messr. Gilbert
Nice win by Farrar, 59km/h or otherwise, he was a well deserved winner.

Yes, he's been quite plucky. Particularly the other day when he managed to stay with Moncoutie for a while on that last climb.

I haven't watched my recording of the stage yet. I sort of saw it on an angled, sunlit big screen on the podium, but the announcer kept diverting to other things rather than concentrating on what was going on. Looked rather confusing towards the finish. Lots of close-ups of di Gregorio. Funny, the announcers were discussing who would win - they kept mentioning Freire, Greipel, Boonen, Bennati (Liquigas seemed to do a lot of work), but never Farrar

and probably no mentions of the 2nd guy gilbert and the 3rd guy Marcato

I didn't know who was second and third until I got home - they just kept yelling 'Tyler Farrar! Tyler Farrar!', and I'd seen him
