Boogie might want to recheck his FP selections - Mollema out the back...
HuwB

Mollema dropped on the flat, 16kms from home, so BF's fps are
all a complete fail. Smile

Oooh, same thought, Ger.

The old boys are back to their very, very best.
(and maybe then some)

Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

I wish I had remembered to tape yesterday having read the write up this morning. The fashion for all things retro carries on.

Meanwhile, Porte pulls out of the Giro. Seems like the entire team has a dose of the Wiggins.

Talking of wheelsuckers, Contador outdid Valverde in that regard.
Let him do all the work and then attacked him.

I suppose he's learned there is no use in taking AV to the finishing line because you will lose.
HuwB

Martin rides away with it.
Several sickies drop out.
Most notably Betancur, who is either great, or way out the back.
gerry12ie

Wierd.  Betancur looked on a different level to everyone at P-N but hasn't done a tap since.  Westra out as well, I see.

I can't buy an FP in a stage race...
Biosphere

Martin must now be odds on to win twice this week. Certainly not the double OPQS would have wanted though! Valverde is going to be testing Contador at every chance this week by the look of it.
HuwB

Good win by Poels. Great to see him back.
I hate that insipid final climb.
Used just about every year now and it never produces much of a selection.
Biosphere

Well the climb sent Schleck out the back pretty quickly. He must have been poisoned again Wink

Having had the tape run out the day before, the randomness of Eurosport schedules meant I also got to see a rerun of Matthews win the day before. He was very strong. Liking Berck's idea of him doubling up today.
HuwB

Ben Swift wins: I am in shock.
Biosphere

Yes, it was a bit unexpected today. Contador and Valverde followed the script, but I would have thought he should have gone a bit sooner than what felt like a few hundred metres from the top.

Not much scope for change tomorrow.
