Tour Stage 8 - Saint-Girons - Breakaway Winner?

Any predictions for the st. 8 breakaway (if there is one) winner?

Or will it be a bunch finish?

I'm now down $50 in my wager from stage 7, as Egoi let me down, so anyone have a good pick to win stage 8?

How about crazy ol' Moreau?

Saxo DS Kim Andersen on Saxo tactics after stage 7 (my translation):

"As a team we'll probably be taking it easy the next couple of days. Maybe see if we can hit a break for a stage win but nothing else. It's been a stressful and tough week for the riders, so we need to get easy across to the Alps.... We've focussed most of our preparations on the Alps. We think they will be a lot tougher than you might expect this year. We think that's where the race will be decided. So we are in no hurry."

Poor old Andy Schleck - like Ullrich - great talent, thwarted by incompetent team management.

Talk about history repeating itself.

The non-Astana managers have been rather disappointing, especially after the results from last year where the idea of attacking early and often overwhelmed the high-tempo, last climb plans.

Dope, not withstanding, Landis showed you can overcome any deficit if you force the GC leaders to go hard for the entire stage.
