Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan from the Cannodale Pro Cycling team won the final, fifth stage of the Tour of Alberta cycling race in Calgary, Alberta. Cadence, thought I'd broaden this thread to include the rest of the Canadian season. We usually get a bit of evening chatter on these as more people are home from work over here and the live web feeds etc. are good.

Is that because you were scratching your head trying to work out what to do with that bag of screws you have left over from your IKEA assembly adventure? Wink

Eurosport now live with 137kms to travel.
Machado Agnoli and an Euskaltel rider are today's rabbits.

Break still away, action yet to happen.

77k to go.

BMC spark it up and send three (TVG, Moinard, Morabito) across to the lead group.  Thirty seconds and they are racing now...

Kind of fun to watch, pretty city.

So there is Sagan and the rest, who can beat him.

18k to go.

One of the announcers I have is pretty useless, keeps saying "and here we are in Quebec with 17k to do.  Bit of rain, but not much"  in a kind of American sports announcer voice.

Hmmm... Sagan having a touch of the nibbles. No "red" zone till Fiorenze.

WTH... Gesink just beat Sagan and van Avermaet in a sprint!?!?

Gesink? Shocked  Very Happy
Fontfroide

Gesink won two years ago, no?  It was uphill on the sprint, and Sagan had to do lots of work beforehand, since no one would help him, no one wanted to drag him to the end.  Fair enough.

Catching up on day finally. Friday's bad due to swimming lessons.

That was class. It would have been pretty fearless to FP Gesink out sprinting Sagan! I picked the wrong OPQS rider. Terpstra had good legs in sprint given his solo efforts. The joy of the Gesink family was nice to see.

Won't work with me in a break? Screw you guys then... Sagan goes long... and still scores Wink

i guess sagan figured it would be left to him to do it all so he may as well do it all on his own.
