The New Wheels are AWESOME!Okay, they're in, I rode them for the first time, and they are FAST! They make strage sounds, though, although everybody says this is "normal". Anyone else experince new sounds from their carbon rims?
The other thing is that I can push a bigger gear, and my muscles definitely have to get used to that!
The tubulars feel fantastic, too! My first experience with them. I have Tufo's and they were taped (rather than glued) on, with some sealant used for protection. I can really feel the road.
The rims corner very differently than my Ksyrium SSL's. I am still experimenting taking 90-degree corners at the bottom of a hill where I train. Very strange. But man, they fly!
Here they are at 1520g:

Cool.
Can you keep the same RPM with the same gear?
Whats the sound like? Sound the same as watching ITT's on tv?

Could it be the JATO rockets?
But seriously, these sound like great wheels.

Excellent!!
How are your brakes on the new carbon hoops? (you riding shimano I presume)
Have you changed your brake blocks - if not, do it quick (unless they have aluminium braking surfaces).

the sound is normal for high profile rims, canīt explain why I am afraid, but I like that sound!!!! is like the sound of a sling!

I can't keep the same rpm with the same gear--I get going too fast. So I have to downshift to keep the same rpm. And then different muscles get used...
The sound is a creaking sound, a flexing plastic sound. Sometimes a clicking sound on corners. It's freaky...

Got the carbon brake blocks. I've worn them down a little which helps braking quite a bit.

What sounds do you hear? Glad to know these sounds are "normal", bergaretxebe. I am still afraid!
