Slapshot 3

Slapshot is not dead....

Watch folks....I'm not dead, honest!!

Been having a lot of trouble getting in here recently, I'm on a "dodgy ish " line right now....hope you're all behaving. Not getting online much at all, not even keeping track of what's happening on the cycling scene unless it hits the BBC.

Hope you are all well

Hi Slapshot!

How's the weather up there, is that causing your troubles?

The BBC website has Geraint Thomas doing the football predictions this week, and that's the only cycling-related news i've seen on their website for ages!

I don't know about SS's weather, but this past few weeks, I've felt like I've been in the Falklands.
Currently being battered by yet another storm. Living in an exposed spot high up means no flooding, but major issues with the wind.

CH out of action , lights all over the place, sat dish blown into orbit and that's in just the last week.

Hang in there Huw!  I saw on the news this morning your way is going to get another battering.  Does that mean you'll miss the 'Pantani Day' on Rai Sport 2 this Friday?!  Bit windy here in the Boglands of Bucks.

Lap of the Gods and a ladder, I'm afraid.
I can't believe that a decade has passed. Sad

Hey SS I'm sure Edward Snowden could get you a secure line... Wink

You guys in the UK seem to be getting it worse than we are at the moment but the met office issued a code red for the already battered south west this morning so things are getting worse instead of better, and I just read that the Shannon is already over a mile wide in places and has already burst its banks in Bio country.

Stay safe lads and good luck

Good to hear from you SS. I spent two and a half weeks working on the East Coast of the US from mid January to early February. Not fun. I got there just the day before the storm came through. It was cold and snowy the whole time, and I had to work out in the elements.
Biosphere

Bio country is wet and windy. He had a large trampoline in the garden for the grandkids and it's cleared a 7 foot block wall to end up in the neighbours garden. I see Aberdaron has been setting wind speed records for the UK this afternoon. 108mph is the latest.

Meanwhile it's sunny blue skies here in Swiss land, temp between 10 and 15C and no lowland snow to report. Last year we had our first  snow in October and last in April.

Glad you are safe and well SS. We do worry when someone hasn't been on for a while.

yes i was thinking i hadn't seen her lately here.
Fontfroide

Kathy is fine.  Taking a wee break from the forum, riding the bike several times a week, rehearsing a panto and will be back with us shortly.  Fresh and ready for a new season.

No worries.

Thanks for the update FF. Glad all is going well for her.
Tell Kathy we were asking for her when you're next in touch.
