Road Rash

Advice chaps (sorry and Chapettes  Wink  ) ......Do you use any special balms to help repair your road rash. Horrid daughter and I went out on Sunday for a gentle cycle and I found some ice, went down like a ton of bricks .....any suggestions because germolene stinks!
MAILLOT JAUNE

Sorry to hear about that SS. I'm afraid I haven't got any advice, except to try googling (if you haven't already done so). I love the smell of Germoline!
Biosphere

Sudocream is the magic unction around here, but that's usually because there are several five gallon tubs of it dotted around the house at any one time Wink
Bartali

Yup ... another vote for Sudacream.  Zambuk is brilliant but hard to find these days ....
maffy

not falling off works for me.

blame the horrid daughter Wink

When I started reading that sentence, I was half expecting it to finish with "aim for the daughter" Wink

Sorry to hear about the ice incident SS. I hope you recover well and quickly. I don't have much advice other than that which has been given. I went to the shaved legs a while back and found that it helps my road rashes to heal fast. I haven't had to deal with the hair in the wounds anymore. Well, unless it happens in some other spots...

Look MJ....I know we don't want to moderate but if we have any more suggestions like that I'll be forced to delete the post.......I'm sure my learned colleague in Southern California will agree.

FFS man don't give the flippin women any more ideas....Jeez...my eyes are watering just thinking about that!!

Actually, the line moves further north the further north you live... Wink

I thought I'd had posted something here about road rush back in Autumn last year? Can't seem to find it at the moment. Use cream, but the word out there at the moment is to scrub it off in the shower as it heals faster.

I think what I learned after a very bad bout is that keeping it wrapped and moist was the best way to go about getting healthy new skin.

This stuff always comes recommended:

I also use neo (or poly) sporin and lots of gauze.

A place called Pleasanton. East of the hills in the SF East Bay. 580/680 intersection is the closest landmark.

I grew up in a place called Redding. Anything south of the SF area was considered SoCal. Wink

EDIT:
Oh, and it great to have you around! Smile

I was born in Alhambra, but didn't spend much time there. My son and a few relatives live in the San Diego area. We go down now and then. Great weather most times of the year. Of course, my family loves to visit Disneyland. Smile
