Pussy Problems

I'm looking for a good cat psychologist as my pair seem to have lost the plot a wee bit.

Firstly Sirius, I think he's forgotten he's a cat

He decided he was eating with us on New Years Day....

.. and gave us such a miserable look....

...when we wouldn't feed him...

Then there the chicken..... one of our neighbours has a wee small holding, few chickens, couple of goats, two flippin Llamas you know the drill...anyway one of said chickens has decided it likes us... but the cats don't like it. They are both shit scared of this wee chook!!

Postulate...hiss, set to pounce, soon as the chook moves that daft pair run in the other direction......HELP
Bartali

Well looking at those pictures Sirius is clearly the head of the household and I thing you should treat him with the respect he deserves.  How dare you not feed him at the table when he's gone to so much trouble to dress for dinner!

You could try music therapy ...

I can only assume that British cats are more intelligent than Continental ones.  Mine just sleep or whine for food most of the time Laughing

so irish cats are more similar to continental cats
Bartali

Certainly are intelligent.  Jack works in IT while Oliver sits around all day reading magazines ...

Superbagneres

I hope that's not your Cycling Weekly, Bart. I had you down as a Gazzatta dello Sport type.
Bartali

SB - I know I said my boys were intelligent, but you can't expect a British Shorthair to read Italian!! Wink
kathy

My idle pair!  Note that I have to cover all my chairs with throws, as Houdi, the paler-coloured cat, moults like crazy all year.

this photo is a bit out of focus - it was taken with the dodgy camera I sent back.
Bartali

Nice guys Kathy cat  cat  cat

you don't need a psycatagist. breed a race of all-singing all-dancing bonsai über-psycho-kitty-enforcers and devolve all forms of local governance to them.

sweet
kathy

They are all gorgeous!

slapshot, he does look sweet, but other than leaving a dead toad under my bed after I moved to London all he does is scratch and bite me...

but I do miss him...
Bartali

I bet you do fede.  I miss my boys everyday when I go to work! Always nice to have two fury boys waiting for me when I come home.
kathy

Fede, I have the same problem with Houdi, the cat in my avatar.  She likes a lot of fuss, but gets over-excited when I stroke or tickle her, and she starts biting and scratching Laughing

Interesting that so many of us are cat-lovers  Smile

Tried to post a photo of mine but can't make it work  Sad

young Miss Tonks has decided she can balance the chequebook better than us ..... probably right

His nibs had been watching some girly football and liked the headband....

I suspect some sneaky goings on in here when I'm on nights....

Loving the cat photos - All the best people are cat people.

Here's one of Abu. She used to lie on our polished floor on her back and meow until one of us pushed her round the room or grabbed her tail and spin her as fast as possible till she'd had enough - she really loved upsidedown skidding.

We thought she was run over but no - unfortunately for her, she liked stalking horses and leaping in the air when close enough to spook them. Eventually one horse got tired of the game and that was that.

I've had a lot of cats, including one called Katie with 28 claws that loved fetching things we threw and mugging other cats, but I never met a cat like Bu and never will again, she used to wake me up by sitting on my chest and putting a solitary talon on my bottom lip then pulling gently and repeatedly on the lip - opening and closing my mouth like she was a ventriloquist! She had even started to invent her own language (well, three 'phrases' other than the ones we'd taught her, but I'll leave it there as I'm sounding a bit mad, sad and fanciful!
Bartali

She was beautiful Cardinal.  My boy Oliver does a version of the 'claw trick'.  If I don't get up for his 'early breakfast' I get the solitary talon gentely scratching the tip of my nose!
