Obama cops out on "Football" questionDid anyone see Obama refuse to give his opinion on English or European Football???
I think its silly for him worry about a backlash...Even president's have interest in sport. Its silly that he feels like he can't answer.

Story goes that he supports the mighty Hammers...he was probably in shock yesterday after the news that Cole's out for 6 weeks to add our injury woes

The wise politico doesn't make rash statements about supporting teams just for the sake of it. Ten years down the line they might get asked on their views on the club they supposedly support and look silly when they don't know their recent results etc.

Not to conservatives. They think we should just stand back and let everything collapse instead of interfering with the holy free market.

This reminds me of something that recently came out about William Kristol, one of the original neocons, a founder of the Project for a New American Century, and editor of the Weekly Standard. In the early 90s he was sending memos to Republicans telling them that if Clinton's health care plan succeeded it would improve people's trust in government and ultimately hurt the Republicans.
