looks good but charging the battery every 3-4 days would be a pain in the arse and would it be reliable in wet conditions like riding in Ireland or the UK all year round?

Its the prototype- 4-5 stages on a battery maybe more, used it in the rain and snow, quicker than manual shifters

Wow, very interesting. It sounded like its only about 100 g more than a traditional cable system. I wonder what happens when the battery dies during a ride?

Is your shifter Y2K compliant?
They've been on this for a long time, I know Mavic tried this, didn't shimano have a go at this?
