It's a great bike, CR. What's the frame size? She's only 5, right?

The frame is about 35cm. The bike looks proportional in the photos, but it's tiny. It looks like a toy bike. My daughter is 5.

cape.. looks great.. cleaned up nice..
did you take a good look at the fork inside the head tube..
just looks a tad askew... fork may have bent inward a bit..
due to impact with a curb or whatever.. no big deal though..
make sure its' not cracked.. probably not.. but in any case..
for your girls safety's sake.. really is a nice little bike..

Thanks. Are you talking about the way the fork looks in the top photo? Not sure what you mean. I will take a good look, though.

Not sure what you mean. I will take a good look, though. | it may just be the photos.. or just me.. but the fork rake angle looks off.. a degree or two..
but if it was bent in a lot more and then bent back.. it might be cracked.. hope not..

It's just the photo. The fork is in great shape--checked it tonight. Thanks for the tip, though. I'm always learning something new. Safety first. Thank you, cyclingtv.

Looks great. Do you have trouble getting the tyres/wheels sorted?
My boy's bike has now been serviced and nice new blue bar tape added. Keeps pestering me to get down the track!
Dunno the size but about 2 cm shorter than the shop workers £3k carbon Spesh...who tried to sell me his winter trainer for £300 quid

The original wheels/tires were a French size they don't make anymore (32-440 or 500A) at 440 mm diameter. So we built up new ones at 451 mm (BMX rims), a set of Normandy Luxe competition hubs and 36 spokes per wheel. Had to get a new freewheel (we used a custom Sachs/Maillard 4-speed freewheel--so now it's "quatre vitesses" instead of "trois"), too. The wheels are the nicest things on the bike, and of course the tiny handlebars and frame. I also really like the decals--they look new!

It is beautiful Cape. Shame that Clara never rode it but hey, two decades in the attic made it perfect for your sweet girls.
They are lucky to have you for a dad!
Merry Christmas!
