JC2 - ImportantDear All,I've taken the board at URL http://justcycling2.forumsplace.com/index.php Offline due to too many unsolveable issues. Even simple things like attachments seem to be too much work for them. I've been trying to solve that problem for a couple of days now but to no avail. Instead I get an abusive message back from the hosts basically syaing if I didn't like what was there to f*** off to another hosting site, they didn't use asterisks!! so fuck em. I'll have a dig around and try and get something else running in the next few days but I can't promise anything completely operational till I get online at home again. Sorry

How to make a file attachment.
Other forums have exactly the same problem. What i do is come here, use this places file attachment and just transfer the URL. A bit sloppy, but hey, it works. |

Slapshot, wouldn't it be easier to create the site using Fastforums again, where we know we can post attachments?

I can see your point BUT this is about an alternative JC being ready if this one goes down. 
Slappy, (sorry but I don't want to shoot you) Great stuff mate and thanks for trying and then keeping us informed. Good job you found out now at the start of the Cycling Social Season and those dark nights.

It was a simple choice in the end, attachments are a straight modular add on which work in the same gway as the BBcodes, unfortunately they didn't want to provide the module that set it up.
Due to go back online at home in the next week or so, I'll get something sorted then |
