I Am Not a Crook! The resemblance is striking (it's Nixon)!
So, bianchigirl, the French are riding clean, and their anti-doping programme is really working!

Yes, but you never will. They're far too business savvy to allow their sport to descend into such mess - as are many other sports.

That picture is terrible. It say's alot more than a thousand words. The UCI and ASO are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.

I kind of believe it, but it makes you think.
Mancebo also rode for a French Team. They were apparently unaware of his extra-curricular activities - if indeed they were extra-curricular....
Brad has said time and time again his team is clean and praised the riders on it. Not even close to being true Bradley, my boy.
T-Mobile have had one guy fail a test spectacularly this season and have had to fire another for dodgy blood reading (Honchar).
Seems to me you can't believe anyone.....

To reiterate for those of you who are too busy being clever but are actually too stupid to grasp some very simple basics - it is French riders and those registered in France (the reason Armstrong upped and went to Girona when the new rules were brought in) that are subject to these extra controls - and, as has been already made clear, Moreni is an ITALIAN.
But then I'm always surprised more riders aren't registered in the US where the out of competition testing happens, what, maximum once a year?
USA land of the free and home of the doped/duped, apparently...

And Moreni's treatment was appalling and achieves nothing - unless they have evidence that he was trafficking, but, even so there are ways....

They're not common criminals! Rabobank hotel rooms and bus were also "raided" (according to flash news here) yesterday after the sacking of Rasmussen. Incredible!!! He was thrown out of the tour because he was sacked and technically had no team to ride for, not for doping.
I think this "clean up" French style is exagerated. They should respect the right of riders, if not as individuals, then as human beings who deserve some human dignity. Picture of Moreni being escorted like a criminal is just outrageous.
But here in France, the police are law and exercise exclusive powers. They have the right to detain someone indefinitely on mere suspicions...

They did the same to Millar, to Virenque and to others.

but just think, if they hadn't put pressure on Millar, he'd still be doping and working with Cecchini and lying about it...
But Moreni refused the B test and admitted - that alone should afford him some common courtesy for not being a denier

Agreed, and as we have said perhaps some real punishments might make people think twice.
Millar gives the impression that it was his time alone in the cells that made him realise the error of his ways.
Perhaps criminalising doping (sporting fraud) is the way forward. Instead of lukewarm bans, and corrupt national federations perhaps riders should face criminal charges. Maybe the prospect of soap on a rope, jugging and prison showers might make riders think twice about cheating.

Or maybe Moreni doesn't want to spend any MORE time in jail than necessary.
