Stage 8: Ale Jet (worth what? 1 point FTW?)
Stage 9 Nibali

Contador and Nibali already have at least two bets. Most of the rest are taken. I can't figure Sastre will wake up suddenly, although it is possible. I am bored picking Pozzovivo, Serpa who knows, so for me it is
Sella, who knows.

Le Mevel for me tomorrow.
Petacchi was worth 1 point today.

Having been a cyclist for so many years that would stop to help another cyclist with a problem. (even as a car driver)
I note that
MS, posted 14th May on the stage 9 thread at 11.28pm (GMT) his choice of
Kreuziger for todays win.
|
kathy

Severo, I think we'll allow you two minutes! Funny, I thought of Kreuziger myself, before thinking le Mevel was looking good. I think the big faves will look at each other again today.

Today, Me a fan? hits the jackpot with Rujano worth 10 points. Contador got 8 and Garzelli, 4.

stage 10 di Luca
I am beginning to find this race a trifle bizarre.
And the language used by one member of the forum is beginning to decay again, it is becoming bizarre how it sticks out like a big dick waving around. Does it really not bother any of you at all that everyone else manages to express themselves about the cycling without the frequent use of the word cunt or fuck or whatever he picks out of the gutter?
|
kathy
|
FF, I just find it rather bizarre that someone obviously well-educated and articlulate cannot espress himself without resorting to Anglo-Saxon language - which is all it is, when all said and done. It doesn't offend me - you hear worse in primary school playgrounds nowadays

Stage 10: Cavendish.
Little chance, but with Ale, Belli, and Ferrari all taken.....
FF: Just watched a 12 rated film with lots of FFing in it.
10 years ago it would have rated 18.
As to primary playgounds. I was there and Kathy is correct.
Times have changed.....................unfortunately.

When i was a lad, I no doubt used bad language, or Anglo Saxon vocabulary as Kathy puts it. I still do. The kids still do. MANY adults do. But this is writing about cycling. I just think it is unnecessary and disrespectful. I am reading along and it is like walking a path and getting brambles caught in your trousers. Nothing cosmic, no big deal, but annoying. No one needs to do this, its about cycling ... and thoughtfulness to others.
No idea why I picked di Luca. Must change it if I get around to thinking about it.

| Is this the Fearless thread as I'm never sure where I am these days.
Naspa/Murphy (it has to be who your talking about) has caused many to leave this forum and as I'm no angel (well I was a cyclist on English & Welsh roads) and will let it go every now and again but he just shows himself up to be the biggest Bigot on this forum.
The biggest smile is his Daily Mail comments, which shows he reads that paper to know what they are saying.
Stage 10........Francisco Ventoso, please

I was going to go for Anton for Stage 11, but have opted for Garzelli instead.

@Petekennaugh open your mind & see that many people try to win a sprint stage, but it takes hard work to deliver consistently. Its not luck.
13 May
ok, so us sprinters/fat bastards/lazy bitches/wounded have a less than 20min time cut today.

I can tell when we get south of Tuscany because my balls start to ache..Roads gradually get worse the further down Italy we go. Sicily=Owww!

NOT Rujano for stage 11. Seems like he is in good form and might well want to win a stage. Maybe.
But looking around it appears no one has Kreuziger and he has to break loose soon, so

At the moment, 2 points if he wins, but there are further picks to be made, which could increase or decrease that

I'm really not confident that he can take 3rd behind the other two.
Especially after plumping for Brutt over Visconti, yesterday.
So, I think I'll play the % game today and change my FP to
Mr 2 Point Cavendish, please. Kathy.

Nolte scoops the pool today with 11 points for Appollonio. Cav was worth 3 in the end and Petacchi 2.
