Colnago Master 30th

Not sure they should have bothered really

Why mess with perfection?

Agreed!  I love the one in Saronni colours.  I've sourced a 1" fork for mine so I can fit a 'proper' Cinelli stem and bars rather than the A head set up.  Not sure why they stick with the old concor saddle but have new campag everywhere else.

Watch it! I've had Concor Lite for the last 15 years.

I overtook someone riding that bike last weekend who said I should consider a newer bike than my Carrera Hercules T9. I looked at his and he said that his new 4000 Euro Colnago had been stolen.

Nothing wrong with Concors ... love em.  It just looks a bit incongruous with all the new kit.

Mwaah!!  Look at this copper beauty!  I love the natural patina set against the very special gruppo - just gorgeous.

Aside, I was thinking of shellac on natural cork tape, or alternatively shellac on cloth tape with twine ends.  Anybody ever try it?
Fontfroide

Hmmm.  Sitting her with my Colnago Master Light X, wondering if ...[/img]

Nice Gerry ... very nice.

I've never tried the shellac treatment.  I'm a big fan of leather unless I'm in weightweenie mode!

Brave, mad, beautiful...

Love it ... for a 'coffee shop' bike it would be a hoot!  Any idea where the bars came from?

The guy moulded and carved them himself.  An impressive piece of handiwork, considering he tanned the leather himself as well...

Colnago seem intent on turning a classic into a dog's dinner...

Partial to a bit of suede and leather myself, but on a classic blue frame? Rolling Eyes

Black carbon post, bars and headset?  Yeeuch!

A guy on our group ride (48 years young) rides with leather on handlebars instead of tape. Says it creates extra comfort for his hands on the longer rides.

We just all take the piss out of his retro looking bike. He's got that leather look on a brand new carbon Wilier Turismo.
