Next weekend, it's the nationals, where Becky, I'm afraid, has to suck VP's wheel, for the first time, in earnest. Embarassed
Following weekend is her first outing in the World Cup, which, is on the BBC.
Red button, days 1 and 2, live on the Sunday.
Sprint and team sprint. JV on leg 1, Becks on leg 2.

Good to see your computer is still turned on - it would be very quiet if you went missing for 4 months  Very Happy

Disasterous day, yesterday. typical teenager.
Got to Manchester and found out that she'd left all her kit at home.
luckily, she had her racing licence.

Someoene was going to have to catch the 4pm train up, until Vicky P came up trumps and loaned her some kit.
By now, she was not wanting to ride.

Then, she repeats her world's, by getting stuck in the start gate.

Jess Varnish's time, though, was excellent. Shows her progress at the academy.

200m QFs just in.
Becky qualified second fastest, behind Vicky P, of course, who is flying. (10.9)
Bartali

Fingers crossed Huw.  I'm expecting great things from Becky!
kathy

Well done, Becky!  Second in the qualifiers behind Vicky can't be bad.  And nice of Vicky to lend her some gear.
HuwB

"Mum", with the girls......

I think Becky's a little off her game.
Jess Varnish only 4 hundredths slower in qualifying and a tenth or so down on what I'd expected.
As for 36"+ for the 500, well, she said it herself, a bad day.

Hope she's saving something for next week.

Great pic of Becky in the Sunday Times today and good coverage of her in the article.
Nolte

huw, has she ventured onto the road or is her solely focussed on the track?
last km

Is she based up in Madchestoh now Huw? .....and what does she do when not competing / training ? is she at college ?
HuwB

Not until June. She wanted to go, this year, but the coaches said "A" levels first. So, still at school.
Currently, on holiday in Gran Canaria, with my sister.
I dropped enough hints, but she wouldn't take me! Embarassed

Yeah Happy Birthday Becky - have a good one and don't feel too guilty about your prang.

And "belations" (I've invented a new word to say belated Happy Birthday - just hope it doesn't mean anything dodgey...) Ralph
Ralphnorman

Thanks  Smile It's going well, although if your ever in Dundee, be very careful. The amount of oil and diesel on the roads is appalling.
bianchigirl

Latest results? Have you been getting out much with the weather??
Ralphnorman

No results at all, not been racing up here. And I've not been out at all, been using the turbo at very odd times of night  Rolling Eyes  Wink
bianchigirl

Not been out!!!! Ralph, you're only a student once - now get down to that student uni bar with the cheap beer and have fun Wink
Ralphnorman

When I said not been out, I meant I've not been out cycling  Laughing I've been going out quite a few nights to various parties and events  Very Happy  Cool 10 weeks and still sober  Wink
