I've decided to give them a try.  Anybody have experience with these things?

That's what my coach said, too.  Great minds think alike, eh, TT?  Have to wait on the powercranks.  I started running instead.

They're not the answer to all your cycling problems. In fact, they may not address any, but the least they will do is develop a greater awareness of you pedal stroke.

You will not be able to ride more than ten  minutes on first use.

I wouldn't go that far. He's a salesman and makes claims that are over the top. Fact is, if they did everything he states you'd see rampant use of PCs. His salesmanship is counterproductive. So many of his claims are suspect you just shake your head and walk away.

If you have a muscle-imbalance they can go a long way to fixing that. I feel pretty safe in making that statement. However, if you were compiling a list of priorities to make you a better cyclist, PCs would be well down. Nutrition, weight control, better set of wheels, stretching, coaching services... all those top power cranks.

What are they, $900? Put that money towards a plane ticket to a stage race. I'd recommend Hood Classic or Cascade if you're a masters rider. June time frame. Get through those and you'll have mad fitness the rest of the year, not to mention some very fond memories.

Cheapest, most effective way to increase performance is, hands down, drugs. Testosterone, dollar-for-dollar, being your best choice.

well lad he thinks powercranks would be the cure for everything that ails us and yes hes a salesman and an arrogant one at that i had the chance to converse with the man hes an arrogant prick that one so anyway i agree with thunder maybe they would help but not the extent that salesman says and only when youve reached the peak of training and form
