- I'm probably going to regret saying this, but hey, he was always good for a wind-up, wasn't he? and the way he could summon up posts that were complete & utter bollocks at the drop of a hat couldn't fail to impress, especially as he seemed to actually blieve what he was writing... anyone know where he's gone (unless it's the funny farm...

| I miss some 'fearless predictions' in which he names 189 potential winners of the TDF |

| Ahh yes, but not all at the same time you see! When the Tour was reaching decision point last year, he would usually give us around 10 names to think of for the following day's stage, followed by another 10 names (including some but not all of the original 10) the next morning, and as the stage progressed he would update his "predictions" depending on who had broken away that day - all of which often gave him enough material to claim "I told you so" at the end of the stage and even if it didn't he would rejoice in the fact that nobody else had exactly predicted the stage results. |

Yes, I'm back!!!
The break up of the old BBC 606 cycling forum combined with my 6 week trip to Europe and the end of the cycling season resulted in my losing touch with all of my cycling mad friends in the same way that civil war separated Dr. Zhivago from Lara.....Tragic!!!
But now thanks to Crash84, we're all reunited for a tearful cyber hug....Oh, the horror of it all!
Let the onslaught begin! |

There should be no mystery as to why I've been missed....I'm the voice of the "Ugly American" an easy target for the Euro-based masses to bash and cajole over...I'm the one you can attack, mock and exaggerate over and never have to worry about being PC...I'm also one of the few person's in either BBC 606 or now here whose not afraid to float predictions, conspiracy theories and expose American-haters...I'm the one that makes you feel good about hating Americans.
Without me, I'm sure its been rather boring around here. |

STEP ASIDE HONEY.
Whilst you have been turning and twisting in the hinterlands, there have been plenty of yanks around to take up the gauntlet. So whilst you are a legend in your own mind/time, the circle keeps twirling........ _________________ "I give up, why a duck?" |

Aaah - fantastic. Look forward to having my views explained to me on other issues as well...
By the way, you still don't eat enough cabbage or paprika for my liking |

Have any of you read inputjoe's "contributions" to the 606 boards - he makes smarauder68 seem.... well, almost normal. There is also a guy on 606 called bewilderingsimmons....... and unsurprisingly his posts are bewildering, not helped by his appalling use of the English language!
Yes, we all know I'm a pedantic old twit. But it never ceases to amaze me how folks refer to David Miller, and Robbie MKewen etc etc.
EEEEE...... when I were a lad, you'd get a smack on the back of the calves with a cane if you couldn't spell - and that at age 5..... believe me, you made the effort. |

Strange how we'd dread such a thing in our youth, but now we're all grown up we'd pay good money for.... whoops, giving away a bit too much there... sorry.... _________________ If you can keep your head, when all around you are losing theirs, then they probably know something you don't..... |

I just remember when we were chatting during the Giro (I think) that he mentioned he had just about a month left in his hitch and he was planning to retire to an island or somewhere down in the Carib........ _________________ "I give up, why a duck?" |
