Sunday May 15: stage nine – Radda in Chianti to Greve in Chianti, 40.4km individual time trial

Quote:
This is the first of the Giro’s “key stages”, with not a single level stretch, but a never-ending sequence of climbs and descents among the Consorzio del Chianti Classico vineyards. Riders will be facing harsh uphill slants and steep downhill gradients where they will need to push down on the pedals, especially in the stage finale.

Tuesday May 17: stage ten – Campi Bisenzio to Sestola, 216km

Quote:
This mountain stage does not even feature a single flat metre. Just past Pistoia, the route climbs up Passo della Collina and across the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

Friday May 20: stage 13 – Palmanova to Cividale del Friuli, 161km

Quote:
This is a very challenging mountain stage. The route takes in 4 categorised climbs in a row, with just a few stretches to let the bunch catch their breath. The first 45 km run on apparently flat ground, and are followed by three typical pre-Alpine climbs, marked by narrow roadway, high gradients and endless turns, both while climbing and while descending.

Raining at the finish and it looks like its spreading, so the stage winner might have already finished...

This is my favourite part of the world - I love it Very Happy

I never realised that Andre Amador was such a fantastic time trialist.
He's crushing everybody at the moment.
Dumoulin pretty poor.
Landa quite reasonable considering he is so bad at the discipline.

Edit: Amador must have heard. Drops a ton of time between CP 1 and 2.

Be nice if Roglic gets this after being 'robbed' on stage one. Smile

I'd have thought it's in the bag by now. Tuscany tourist board will not be happy with weather!

Nice win, but I can't say the stage lit me up much, especially since it seems rather difficult to get a decent quality feed . . . .

I've not had need to try this for the Giro, but have you tried it?

Presume you're happy enough with that. Had a quick look. Seems stable?

As well as wearing pink, the weather maybe turned a bit in his favor at the end?

Brambilla hasn't had that many good tts but he was 5th in the giro Tt in 2014 behind uran uran, ullissi

He was also 14th in the Basque country's TT this year
