Stage 15: Which breakaway tail to pin the donkey on? Despite being one of the obvious choices (IMO), Visconti seems to have been a bit lacking over the last two weeks. Costa?

Stage 15

No idea at all.  Could be anyone as far as I can figure out.

So I will go for an Italian, Visconti already taken, so Rosa or Conti maybe.  Although I was tempted to try Woods or Sanchez, they are not Italian.  I really feel sorry for the Italians not winning anything in their own race, so ....

Conti

Sunday's excitement on the road was not matched by the spreadsheet.

Was tempted by breakaway bingo, but it's probably going to be a mental start tomorrow as the feelers go out to see who's got stiff legs after rest day. Will sleep on it.

16 - I really have no idea how this will play and I'm tempted to split Nibali with SS, but seeing as I have (almost) first dibs it would be kind of rude to overlook Nairo Quintana

Stage 16

I guess I will pick Landa for this one.  But mainly I hope there will be a good race.  I doubt, I really doubt that the whole crew will wait until the last climb.  If there are riders scattered all over the place, fading and gaining etc, I will be happy no matter who wins.  But I will pick ...

Landa

Landa it would have been for me, but since the best are all taken, time to make the GC interesting.

In other words, Dumoulin's big head means that we expect a true divorce between the favorites, where it's the legs and not the tactics that are going to talk. This is because the stage is so visually decorated that there are not many valleys

Big points for Slapshot today and Nibali would have been well worth a split after all. Huw's KOD streak is coming up with increasingly elaborate ways to keep itself running Wink
